New start

Now that you’ve started to believe…

Whether you’ve encountered God’s word at a Christian event, attended a worship service, or have seen our program on TV or on the internet, we thank God the Father for you! If you’ve decided to give your life to Jesus Christ, we rejoice with you and with the angels of Heaven!

Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. (Luke 15:7 ESV)

It is really important to note that you won’t necessarily see instant life change. Don’t worry, however, because the Kingdom of God is now within you.

nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you. (Luke 17:21 ESV)

More than 800 million people around the world have made the same decision you have. Our greatest desire for you is to help you grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Every one of us can confirm that the initial period is not exactly easy. You’ll likely be faced with some level of opposition from those around you, your loved ones, and maybe even Satan himself, who may try to use religiously oriented people to confuse you. It can often be a mental battle to choose between a new life with Jesus and the old life.

When all this starts happening, understand that this is a sign that you are on the right path and that you’re not alone. We’ve all experienced the same thing. The Devil, always seeking to enslave, isn’t going to let you go easily and will do anything to control you again.

Because we care about you we, by the love of Christ,  hope that you will receive a few essential tips to living this new life with God. We don’t want to control you, but we do want to help you. Our main goal isn’t even that you would become members of our church, but that you, wherever you are, would be firmly rooted in the truth, in Jesus.

We’d be pretty happy if you would contact us. We’ll give you a Bible (which we believe is God’s word) and answer any questions you might have. We all had a many when we believed. We know that your decision to follow Jesus has eternal consequences for your soul.

One time, an elderly couple in their sixties attended one of our meetings and gave their lives to Christ. Until that very day, they had been atheists. Later on, they told us that, after hearing the gospel proclaimed, their entire worldview had changed. The power of the truth had set them free from deception. Be encouraged, and be bold in your faith!

Our hearts are open to you, and we’d love to answer any questions or concerns that you may have about any topic considering religious issues.

Here’s some tips!

First step:

Commit yourself to knowing Jesus more.

As he was saying these things, many believed in him. So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:30-32 ESV)

Second step:

Buy yourself a Bible and start reading from the New Testament. Read a chapter a day.

The brothers immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue. Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. Many of them therefore believed, with not a few Greek women of high standing as well as men. (Acts 17:10-12)

Third step:

Pray (often).

Prayer is having a conversation with God. Through faith God the Father is your Father! You can speak to him just like a child speaks with its Father every day. Prayer is not really meant to be hard and doesn’t take some kind of training. Thank God for everything he has done for you, and trust him with every problem and request. When you come to the Father like his child in the name of Jesus, God always hears you!

In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. (John 16:23 ESV)

You can start praying in a similar way to this:

Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I thank you for my life, thank you for sending Jesus to die for me on the cross. Thank you for every new day. Please, help me to know you more, help me to understand the Bible. Teach me, guide me into your way of truth. Protect my faith, God, and give me the confidence to tell others about all you’ve done for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Fourth step:

Find a Christian community (a church) that teaches the Bible and follows Jesus. Our info is found here. You can also come and attend our regular meetings, and if you have any questions you can ask our pastor or any of the elders. We’d love to help!

For more info, you can check our website, social media, and magazine! Check out our Sunday service and Tuesday prayer live streams at 11:30 am on Sundays and 19:00 on Tuesdays, found on Oaza.tv. We’re here to help you grow in your journey with Jesus so that you can hear his voice and walk with him in everyday life.

We pray that God would enlighten you to his wondrous truth!

You are loved!
