Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the Lord hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance? When thou art departed from me to day, then thou shalt find two men by Rachel’s sepulchre in the border of Benjamin at Zelzah; and they will say unto thee, The asses which thou wentest to seek are found: and, lo, thy father hath left the care of the asses, and sorroweth for you, saying, What shall I do for my son?

1 Samuel 10:1-2

It is great to go and preach the gospel to all the world. It is very important to take seriously every aspect of the work of God committed to our trust. We are all to be obedient and faithful servants. The Jew in John chapter 6 after having been fed by the Lord, five thousand men with five barley loaves and few fishes, came to him asking: “Lord, what can we do to work the works of the Lord?” Jesus answered: “This is the works of God that you believe on him whom he has sent. We must never take the work of God more seriously than God himself. Mr. Kish felt his son has gotten lost from him in trying to find lost asses. We can actually get lost from God while trying to do what we believe He told us to do. Do not only pray, fast, study the word, and ask God, what should I preach or teach? We must do all this not to serve but to commune and intimately spend quality time in His presence.
