We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.” And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.
Hebrews 6:11-15
Do not join the company of dispirited, tired, bored, disconnected, sluggish, dull, and disenchanted but join, imitate, copy, follow, learn from those who have or are living a life of faith and patience, and by so doing inherited or inheriting the promises of God. Simply said, don’t join the spiritual dropouts but persist in faith and patience, set your heart on the promises of God in Christ, and make it your aim to obtain what God has promised in His word.
