I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Ephesians 4:1-6
A child of God, the one who has surrendered their life to Jesus Christ is hereby and in several other places in the Word of God admonished how to conduct themselves in manners that will best portray them as indeed New Creatures in Christ Jesus. Just like the Lord Jesus said, by their fruit, you will know them. In different cultures and religions, we hear of honor killing, where a person is killed by their very family members for doing something they deem a stain or shame to their family name or image. As we live among the heathen, we are commanded to shine as light in the world. That the world may see our good works and glorify our Father who is in heaven.
