For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

The Child that was born, grew up to become the Son who is given. The best and the only genuine gift of Christmas is Jesus, the Son of God given for the salvation of every human soul. This is God’s gift to you and me and everyone. When He is truly received and allowed to rule, then the individual, family, city, or nation begins to experience the blessings of His wonderful reign of peace. The world in turmoil now desperately needs the Prince of Peace to reign. Merry Christmas.
