Therefore shall ye keep all the commandments which I command you this day, that ye may be strong, and go in and possess the land, whither ye go to possess it;
Deuteronomy 11:8
From this verse we can see the secret of strength and of possessing the promises of God. Also, the reason why God gives commandments to His people. Just like the husbandman eagerly awaits for the fruit of the earth, or as parents eagerly await to see their child take the first steps or say the first words, so the heavenly Father eagerly yearns to see His child grow and put on strength and rise up in power and possess the land and fill it with righteousness and the true knowledge of God.
